CT Pro Concrete Leveling is open. We’re based at 300 Berlin Turnpike in Berlin, and we’re booking free on-site inspections across Hartford County now.

We lift sunken concrete instead of tearing it out. Driveways, garage floors, patios and pool decks, walkways, front steps and stoops, basement and interior slabs, and light commercial flatwork. If it’s settled and the concrete itself is still sound, it can almost always be raised back to grade with polyurethane injection in a single visit.

## Why Start a Concrete Leveling Business Here

Because Connecticut ground guarantees the work exists.

The state frost line sits at 42 inches. Building footings have to reach below it, which is why houses stay put. Driveways, patios, and walkways sit a few inches down, right in the zone that freezes and thaws all winter. Water gets under the slab through an open joint, freezes, expands, displaces the base, then thaws and washes fine material away. A void opens, and the slab drops into it.

Every winter widens that cavity. That’s why so many Hartford-area homes have a driveway apron sitting an inch low at the garage or a front walk with a step in it.

What most homeowners hear when they call about it is a quote for demolition and a repour. That’s the expensive answer, the disruptive answer, and for a slab that has settled rather than failed, usually the wrong answer.

## What We Do Differently

**Foam, not slurry.** We inject two-part closed-cell polyurethane through ports around 5/8 of an inch across. It fills the void, then lifts the slab. It’s waterproof, so the next thaw can’t wash it out, and it weighs a small fraction of a mudjacking slurry, so it doesn’t reload soil that already proved it couldn’t hold what was on it.

**Same-day return to use.** The foam reaches working strength in roughly 15 minutes. Most residential driveways and garage floors carry a vehicle the same evening. A tear-out puts the slab out of service for a week or more.

**No demolition.** No excavator on the lawn, no dumpster at the curb, no spoil pile. Landscaping and hardscape along older Hartford-area drives stay where they are. Everything arrives and leaves on the truck.

**An honest repair-vs-replace call.** This is the part we care most about getting a reputation for. If your concrete is spalled through, cracked full depth, or crumbling, lifting it is a waste of your money and we’ll say so on the inspection. Sound concrete that has settled is a lift. Failed concrete is a repour. We’re not going to blur that line to win a job.

## Where We’re Working

We cover Hartford County and the immediate Hartford metro from Berlin.

| Area | Towns |
| --- | --- |
| Ring towns | West Hartford, Glastonbury, Farmington, Avon, Simsbury, Newington, Wethersfield, Bloomfield |
| Central county | Berlin, New Britain, Southington, Plainville, Rocky Hill, Manchester, South Windsor, Windsor |
| Metro | Hartford, East Hartford, Bristol, Enfield, Canton, Granby, Suffield |

West Hartford

[/service-areas/west-hartford/ →](/service-areas/west-hartford/)

 and

Glastonbury

[/service-areas/glastonbury/ →](/service-areas/glastonbury/)

have their own pages with the local ground conditions and settlement patterns we see there. More towns are being written.

## Being Straight About Being New

We launched this year. We don’t have a review count, a project tally, or a decade of local photos, and we’re not going to invent any of them. Plenty of sites in this market quote impressive-sounding numbers that belong to a national franchise’s aggregate rather than to the crew that will actually turn up at your house.

What we can offer at launch is concrete: a CT Home Improvement Contractor registration, general liability insurance, a named owner who runs every inspection personally, and a free written quote before anything gets drilled. We photograph every job before, during, and after, tagged by town, and those galleries will build up here over the next year.

If you’d rather wait until we have fifty reviews, that’s fair. If you’d rather have the owner look at your slab and tell you straight what it needs, we’re taking bookings now.
